WHAT GOES INTO BREEDING EXCELLENT RAMS?
Bloodlines
We are meticulous in sourcing our stud sires. We source some genetics via artificial insemination from some of the nations higest genetically performing sires to introduce industry leading traits into our stud.
We compound our breeding with specially selected physical sires sourced both from our own breeding and from industry leading Studs

Data Collection
We collect key data points at a number of stages through the life of our sheep. Data collection begins prior to the lambs being born with scanning records submitted to sheep genetics. the first physical data recorded from progeny begins on the day a lamb is born where sire, dam, sex, birth weight, birth type (single, twin, triplet etc), lambing ease and litter survivability is recorded, which is agin recorded at marking and weaning.
Further recorded data includes:
-
weaning weight (WWT)
-
Post weaning Weight (PWWT)
-
Post weaning c site fat & eye muscle (PFAT & PEMD)
-
Post weaning worm egg count (PWEC)

Physical Selection
We are fastidious in ensuring our animals are structurally correct and follow the four "F's" principle:
-
